Forest Fire in Southern Los Angeles, USA, Uncontrolled

Washington, Aug 8 (Prensa Latina) A large-scale forest fire continues today out of control in the southern Californian city of Los Angeles, the United States, where more than 1,500 people have been evacuated.

The fire burned since yesterday more than 2,400 hectares in the Riverside County, and at least five wounded have been reported so far, Los Angeles Times stated today.

More than 500 firefighters remain in the area, supported by 70 car bombs, helicopters and specialized aircraft, but they could not put out the flames, and smoke reaches a luxurious tourist facility in Palm Springs, located about 35 kilometers east of scene.
